Presentation vineyard

The story of the Garofoli family began in 1871 with Antonio Garofoli. Today it's the two brothers Carlo and Gianfranco in charge of the property. The same spirit to constantly innovate and take advantage of new modern production techniques, while respecting the traditional process of wine production has over the years been the vineyard's leitmotif. Today, the vineyard has 2 facilities. For the Verdicchio grapes, there is the Serra dei Conti production, but the original winery is located in Castelfidardo, some 20 kilometers south of Ancona on the Adriat coast. It is also here that the wines are stored and bottled.

Sommelier's advice

A dark purple color. An intense nose of ripe red fruit, as well as with floral notes of roses and violet. The palate is fresh and pleasant with soft tannins. Good acidity and silky final. A medium-bodied red wine to a pair with a plate of curred meat, with antipasti or varied finger food.

Kerria from Garofoli is made from 100% Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. The grapes are harvested at full maturity and lightly pressed before macerating for 6 days and then allowed to ferment for 8-10 days. The malolactic fermentation follows and takes about 20 days. The wine is stored for 4 months on steel tanks to mature before being bottled.
