Braida – La Monella – Barbera del Monferrato – Frizzante – Red

A sparkling red wine with hints of red berries. The palate is fresh with good structure.

La Monella is the first wine with which the story of Braida officially begins. The first grapes grew in grandmother Caterina’s vineyard and in the cellar grandfather wrote “La Monella” in chalk on the Barbera barrels. The wine is produced from 100% Barbera. The grapes are grown in different soils, with an average density of 5,000 plants per hectare. After harvesting, the grapes are fermented for ten days with their skins. Then follows a storage of at least four months in steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in an autoclave and 2 months of storage in the bottle follows.
