Rappatu from Maggiovini is a light, fruity red wine with aromas of red berries. The wine is made from 100% Frappato grapes. A red wine to serve lightly chilled to fish or a few degrees hotter to veal or chicken fillet.

"Rappatu" means Frappato in local Sicilian dialect. Frappato is the name of the local grape variety cultivated around the town of Vittoria since the late 1600s. Rappatu is made from 100% Frappato grapes and undergoes a long maceration (7-10 days) with the skins. The fermentation is conducted at controlled temperature. The wine is then stored on steel tanks for 3 months before beinf bottled and then stored another month.
