Laurent Combier – Crozes-Hermitage – Red

A light Crozes-Hermitage style, fruity aroma with hints of red berries, mainly raspberries.

Laurent Combier’s Crozes-Hermitage cuvée L was created in 1999. The wine is produced from Syrah grapes, mainly from young vines from various communes in the southern appellation. It is intended to be a relaxed enjoyment wine, accessible to everybody. The grapes are picked by hand and thinned. Fermentation takes place in thermo-regulated concrete vats of 50 hl. The grapes are completely de-stemmed. The fermentation is carried out with stirring (remontage) morning and evening. The wine is aged for 8 to 10 months, of which 70% in egg-shaped concrete vats and 30% in already used barrels and half-barrels.
