Presentation vineyard

Latium Morini is one of the foremost producers of Amarone wines in the Veneto region, in the northeastern Italy. On top of that, the winery also produces for the region typical red Valpolicella and white Soavewines. The family property was created some 40 years ago and today it's the 2nd generation which has taken over from the parents. Morini is the name of the family and Latium means "those from Lazio" in Latin and refers to the Romans who in their time conquered the region in search of areas for growing vines, olives and fruit trees.

Sommelier's advice

Dark opaque, ruby red color. Intense and complex nose of peppery ripe fruit - plums and raisins with a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied, round palate with tannins of potential storage.

Latium Morini’s “Campo Prognai” Valpolicella Superiore is made from 70% Corvina- and Covinone-, 20% Rondinella grapes, and 10% of various other kinds. Valpolicella Superiore is a more full-bodied version of Valpolicella since it has been aged in oak barrels for a year. “Campo Prognai” has received several awards of “Decanter”.
