Presentation vineyard

Domaine du Fogolar is the most southerly vineyard of the Bellet appellation with very favorable exposure to the sun. It is Jean Spizzo, a professor of Italian at the University of Nice who created the vineyard in the early 70s. When Jean was sent from Alsace to the faculty in Nice, he actually bought his house in Bellet. He then planted the first vines in 1974 and with true passion for winegrowing, the winery has evolved into what it is today. 4.2 hectares of vines have been planted for the production of wine of all three colors, which are regularly rewarded by the French press and French wine guides.

Sommelier's advice

A bright yellow color with golden hues. Buttery aromas reminding of a Meursault, hints of white flowers and ripe pear. A fruity and full-bodied palate with good concentration. still a bit young, may need a few months of storage. To be drunk immediately to a grilled fish, or to await a couple of years and when drink with a turbot with melted butter.

Collet de Bovis “Cuvée Prestige” is made from 100% Rolle grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand around the 20th of September. The grapes are then lightly pressed and are let to macerate. They are then completely pressed and the peel is separated from the juice. The wine is then fermented directly in oak barrels .
