"Scaliere" is a red Salento from southern Puglia, the heel of the Italian boot. A relatively light, soft red wine to drink with red meats, mushroom dishes or a cheese tray.
“Scaliere” is made from 90% Negroamaro and 10% aglianico del Vulture grapes grown in different regions around Sannicola Alezio, Campi Salentino and Barile. The wine is made by classical technique and matures in steel tanks.
