Atal Sia means "so be it" in old languedoc. The wine is made from 45% Carignan 30% Grenache 20% Mourvèdre and 5% Syrah. The grapes grow in red, typical Mediterranean soil. The harvest is done manually followed by the fermentation with entire grapes - the 3 most important grape varieties are assembled together from the beginning. Presentation of the vineyard

Ollieux Romanis is located about 10 km from Narbonne in the wine district of Corbières, in the heart of Languedoc. The estate dates back to the Roman times, but wine was first cultivated only in the 1800s. Even today a part of the wine is actually produced from the vines of that time. The Carignan grape takes an important place in production with its 60 hectares of vines with the respectable ages of between 50 and 110 years. Today, it is family Jacqueline and François Bories who owns the winery and produces charming wines made with outstanding professionalism and serious work.

Sommelier's advice

Atal Sia from Ollieux romanis has a dark, almost black color with purple hues. The nose is spicy and complex with elements of mocka, cocoa, blackberries and black currants. The palate is fresh with silky tannins, however still a rich and concentrated body. An elegant Corbières Boutenac wine to pair with a lamb stew, or to more unconventional pairings such as dark chocolate!
