Presentation vineyard

Familjen Lafage har varit vinodlare från far till son i mer än två århundraden. Idag är det Jean-Marc och Eliane som driver vingården. Efter att ha rest i flera dynamiska vinodlingsregioner i världen och skaffat sig erfarenhet i Sydamerika, USA (Kalifornien), Sydafrika och Australien, kom de hem till familjevingården på 36 hektar runt milleniumskiftet. Idag har gården som ligger på vägen mellan Perpignan och Medelhavet vuxit till 350 hektars mark och Domaine Lafage är idag en referens i Roussillon.

Sommelier's advice

En ljus rubinröd färg. Doften har en aromatisk intensitet och hög koncentration av röda bär. Smaken är rund, koncentrerad med silkeslena tanniner och toner av björnbär, svarta vinbär, hallon, blåbär. Bra längd i smaken. Att servera till en råbiff, till en lammsadel eller till en mustig gryta.

Domaine Lafage – Nicolas är ett fylligt rödvin framställt av 100% Grenache vielles vignes(gamla vinrankor). Vinet bär namn efter sonen i familjen. Druvorna odlas i terrasser vid foten av Pyrenéerna vid “terroir des Aspres” som representerar ett område mitt i den sydfranska “garriguen”. Druvorna plockas för hand i små lådor om 10 kg och rensas på rensbord.

Presentation vineyard

The Lafage family has been wine growers from father to son for more than two centuries. Today, Jean-Marc and Eliane run the vineyard. After traveling in several dynamic wine-growing regions of the world and gaining experience in South America, the United States (California), South Africa and Australia, they returned to the 36-hectare family vineyard around the turn of the millennium. Today, the winery, located on the road between Perpignan and the Mediterranean, has grown to 350 hectares of land and Domaine Lafage is today a reference in Roussillon.

Sommelier's advice

A light ruby red color. The nose has an aromatic intensity and a high concentration of red berries. The palate is round, concentrated with silky tannins and hints of blackberries, black currants, raspberries, blueberries. Good length on the palate. To pair with a raw beef, with a lamb steak or with a hearty stew.

Nicolas from Domaine Lafage is a full-bodied red wine made from 100% Grenache vielles vignes (old vines). The wine is named after the son in the family. The grapes are grown in terraces at the foot of the Pyrenees at the “terroir des Aspres” which represents an area in the middle of the southern French “garrigue” (stepland). The grapes are picked by hand in small boxes of 10 kg and cleaned on a cleaning table.

La famille Lafage est vigneron de père en fils depuis plus de deux siècles. Aujourd'hui, Jean-Marc et Eliane dirigent le vignoble. Après avoir voyagé dans plusieurs régions viticoles dynamiques du monde et acquis de l'expérience en Amérique du Sud, aux États-Unis (Californie), en Afrique du Sud et en Australie, ils sont revenus dans le vignoble familial de 36 hectares aux alentour des années 2000. Aujourd'hui, le vignoble, situé sur la route entre Perpignan et la Méditerranée, s'étend sur 350 hectares et le Domaine Lafage est aujourd'hui une référence en Roussillon.

Sommelier's advice

Une couleur rouge rubis clair. Le nez a une intensité aromatique et une forte concentration de fruits rouges. Le palais est rond, concentré avec des tanins soyeux et des notes de mûres, cassis, framboises, myrtilles. Bonne longueur en bouche. Servir avec un steak tartare, avec un gigot d'agneau ou avec un pot au feu.

Nicolas du Domaine Lafage est un vin rouge corsé composé de 100% de Grenache vielles vignes. Le vin porte le nom du fils de la famille. Les raisins sont cultivés en terrasses au pied des Pyrénées sur le “terroir des Aspres” qui est un parcel au milieu de la “garrigue” méridionale. Les raisins sont cueillis à la main dans des petites caisses de 10 kg et triés sur une table de tri.
