Presentation vineyard

Mas de Daumas Gassac needs no introduction for those who are interested in wine from the Languedoc. Véronique and Aimé Guibert started the winery in 1970 which is today considered as one of the best "Cru"- wines in Languedoc. Moulin de Gassac is the vineyard's everyday, but selected wines, produced under the same requirements as the exclusive wines of Mas de Daumas Gassac. The winery is conducted in the most exposed areas north of the city of Sète, more precisely in Villeveyrac for red wines, while the vineyards for the white and rosé are located in Pinet, along the banks of the Etang de Thau. The ambition of Moulin de Gassac is to make wines which express the typical "Languedoc terroir" and to create a unique and elegant style by mixing typical grape varieties from Languedoc with varieties originating from Bordeaux.

Sommelier's advice

A deep red color. The aroma has hints of dark berries (blackberries and currants) and lightly spicy tones. The palate is warm and well balanced between fruit and acidity, good structure. A red wine to pair with red meat or with the cheese board.

Merlot from the Moulin de Gassac is produced from Merlot grapes grown in Villeveyrac in the Langedoc region. After the harvest, the grapes are removed from their bunches and are let to ferment for 3-6 days in steel tanks. The wine is then stored for 5-6 months before being bottled.
