Presentation vineyard

The story of the Henriot family dates back to 1640 when the family moved to Champagne from Lorraine in northeastern France. But it was not until 1808 that winery was created by Apolline Henriot, a lady with strong personality who succeeded in making success with her champagne in the royal courts around Europe. Year after year and generation after generation the Henriot have nurtured its reputation of producing quality champagne. The winery is still family owned and is often recognized as being one of the smaller "big champagne houses."

Sommelier's advice

A crystal clear, bright golden color with light green hues. Abundant gas development creating regular, thin and elegant bubbles. The fragrance is concentrated and expressive with floral aromas (honeysuckle, orange blossom and linden), with hints of fruit (lemon, dried apricot, almond) and pastries, followed by spices. The taste is full and powerful, with aromas of freshly baked bread, candied fruit and hints of honey. Good length expressing discrete menthol aromas in the final.

Blanc de Blancs from Henriot is made from Chardonnay grapes from the prestigious “Cru” regions Mesnil sur Oger, Avize, Chouilly, Vertus, Montgueux, Trépail, Epernay and Région de Vitry. The wine contains 30% “vin de réserve”. The finalized wine is stored for 3 to 5 years in the wine cellars in Reims before being commercialized.
