Domaine des Masques – Emotion – Red wine is made from 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. In both cases, the vines have small berries and low yields. The grapes are destemmed, crushed and undergo a short cold maceration and pumped over daily. On average, the must undergoes 5 weeks of maceration before malolactic fermentation takes place directly in barrel. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, none of which are new. The majority have previously contained more than 3 wines. The wine rests for 6 months in tanks and is then bottled unfiltered. 6,630 bottles are produced from this cuvée. The wine is sealed with a 10 mm diameter Origine cork, which guarantees the absence of cork stains and oxidation-free aging for at least 10 years.
