Domaine Derey – Marsannay – Red wine is made from Pinot noir grapes. from 25-year-old vines growing in the villages of Couchey and Marsannay. The soil consists predominantly of clay/limestone and marl. The estates cover 0.5 hectares of land. 80% of the harvest is destemmed. Vinification is done with gentle extraction to highlight the fine, silky tannins. The wine is aged for a maximum of 12 months in oak barrels that have been used previously to avoid too aggressive oak flavor.
