Terre del Principato - Aglianico IGP - red

Aglianico from Terre del Principato is produced by Aglianico grapes. The aglianico varietal has a very long history and came to Italy via the ancient Greeks. Today it's a classic varietal in the Irpinia region. This wine is made from grapes grown at 200-300 meters above sea level, around the Taurasi hills and at Alta Valle del Calore in the heart of the Irpinia region. The vinification is traditional and the fermentation takes place at 24-27 ° C. The wine is stored in steel tanks before the bottling.

Presentation of the vineyard

Terre del Principato was founded by the La Marca family, a Neapolitan wienmaker family. Michele and later his son Giovanni, have created the winery and it's the son Giovanni who created the name Terre Del Principo that refers to the Principato Ultra province, which was part of the Neapolitan kingdom in the 1200s. The vineyard is today situated in Parolise, right in the heart of the Irpinia wine district.
