Presentation of the vineyard

Pecchenino Fratelli is a family-owned winery, actually one of the oldest in Dogliani, dating back to the late 1700s. The winery has since the beginning been run by the same family that has become one of the driving forces behind the appelation of Dogliano DOCG. Today it's the two brothers Orlando and Attilio who since 1987 manage the wine production of Pecchenino. They have not only succeeded in developing the size of the vineyard from 8 to 25 hectares. Also the wines have a new structure with good balance and great elegance. Pecchenino mainly grow Dolcetto grapes for the Dogliani wines, but there is also Barbera, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and last but not least Nebbiolo grapes for the exclusive Barolo wines.

Sommelier's advice

Ruby red color with purple highlights. Berry aromas of currant, raspberries, blackberries and dark plums. Well balanced flavor with a mix of sweet tannins and good acidity. To pair with antipasti, assorted pasta dishes, chicken or even a roast beef.
