Presentation of the vineyard

Tenuta La Braccesca is located a few kilometers from Montepulciano, in southeastern Tuscany. The vineyard is surrounded by a magnificent area that has seen different eras pass by; First the Etruscans, then the Romans, the Middle Ages and, not least, the Renaissance. The vineyard englobes 420 hectares of land located on the border with Umbria in two different but closely-connected areas. Montepulciano with the classical and prestigious "Nobile" area and then Cortona, which made its name on the international markets mainly with international grape varieties such as Syrah. These two different styles of wine represent La Braccesca very well today with respect for tradition, the balance between old and new, as well as passion for quality. The owner of La Braccesca is no less than famous Antinori, whose name was already mentioned in 1385 in Italian wine archives. Today, the company is led by the 26th descending generation; Albiera Antinori supported by her 2 sisters, Allegra and Alessia. Tradition, passion and intuition are the slogans that the family uses to describe their philosophy in winemaking.

Sommelier's advice

An intense ruby red color. The fragrance is fruity with elements of vanilla and violet. The palate is smooth and harmonious with easily recognizable hints of blackberries and black currants as well as well-integrated spicy tones. The final gives a long lasting aftertaste. An elegant red wine to serve for a festive meal based on red meat and stored cheeses.
