Ravera is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes in a mixture of the 3 most common clones; Lampia, Michet and Rosè. The grapes are cultivated on an area corresponding to 1.5 hectares of land in the Cerviani Merli area, located in the village of Novello at 400 meters in south exposure. 5000 vines are cultivated per hectare of land and trained in Guyot.

Presentation of the vineyard

Azienda Mario Giribaldi was founded in the early 1900s and it's now the 3rd generation running the family business. Respect for tradition and pride of today representing what the previous generations have created, are the values ​​that lie at the winery near the heart. The establishment is located in the heart of the Langhe region in Piedmont. The farming is ecologically active since 1998 and covers areas in several municipalities; Diano d'Alba, Montelupo Albese, La Morra, Alba and Novello. The vineyards are mixed with hazelnut crops along the road from Alba towards Rodello at 500 meters altitude. The winery produce most of Piedmont's typical types of wines - both red and white - with Barolo and Barbaresco representing the most premium wines. The wines of Mario Giribaldi are regularly praised in international wine guides.

 

 

Sommelier's advice

A ruby ​​red color with amaranth hues. The fragrance is fruity, lightly floral, with elements of nyphonies and morals. A dry and slightly tight fruity taste with soft tannins, hints of tobacco and musk in a long final. To pair with red meat, game or to the cheese tray.
