Caj is made from 100% Barbera grapes grown in an area called Caj located near the town of Alba, corresponding to 3.96 hectares of land situated at 380 meters altitude, exposed in the south / southwestern direction. The vines are trained according to the Guyot method.

Presentation of the vineyard
Azienda Mario Giribaldi was founded in the early 1900s and it's now the 3rd generation running the family business. Respect for tradition and pride of today representing what the previous generations have created, are the values ??that lie at the winery near the heart. The establishment is located in the heart of the Langhe region in Piedmont. The farming is ecologically active since 1998 and covers areas in several municipalities; Diano d'Alba, Montelupo Albese, La Morra, Alba and Novello. The vineyards are mixed with hazelnut crops along the road from Alba towards Rodello at 500 meters altitude. The winery produce most of Piedmont's typical types of wines - both red and white - with Barolo and Barbaresco representing the most premium wines.
