Presentation of the vineyard

In 1845, the Benedictine monks from Muri in Switzerland moved to Gries in South Tyrol, where the order took over the Augustinian monastery. In this way, they inherited a long tradition of viticulture which they undertook and became an entire part of the work with the monastery, the vineyard and the property itself. The result of the 2000s has been a series of quality wines from Muri-Gries, as the Abtei Muri line, which has been produced since 1989, from selected grapes from the very best areas.

Sommelier's advice

A bright golden color. The nose is elegant, typical for the variety, with hints of rose petals and carnations, as well as slightly smoky notes. The palate is available in its structure and is elegant, lively, round and aromatic with a fine finish. To pair well chilled with sushi, marinated salmon or with various wok dishes.
