Taittinger - Prélude, Grands Crus - Brut

Prélude, Grands Cru from Taittinger is made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir that Taittinger has selected exclusively from "Grands Crus" villages rated 100% in Champagne. The wine is produced from Cuvée wines (only from the first press), which helps to create the finesse and structure required to offer a long storage. The wine has been stored for more than 5 years in wine cellar, which, however, gives a youthful character with complex palate.

Sommelier's advice

A light pale yellow color with silver-colored hues, which reflects a large part of Chardonnay. The bubbles are nice and form a delicate and creamy string of sustained mousse. The nose is nice and fresh. The first aromas are mineral but quickly become vegetabile, then floral with aromas of elder mixed with spicy cinnamon tones. The attack in the mouth is lively and open, predominantly dominated by very fresh citrus flavors. Then the palate becomes fuller, round and silky, mainly hints of white peach. The final is long, rich and explosive. Prelude "Grands Crus" is a wine that combines finesse and complexity. The balance between the freshness and aromatic complexity is exceptional. To serve as an aperitif or to shellfish.
