Thuerry Chateau is located in the inner parts of the Var department in the village of Villecroze. The vineyard represent 300 hectars of land in the middle of the Provençal forest. Jean-Louis Croquet, former head of the market study and opinion firm Sofres, bought the vineyard 1997. The vineyard is regularly visited by Francis Ford Coppola who besides the filmmaking is also wine grower in California. Everything is explainable; Jean-Louis' son, Thomas Mars is namely married to Sofia Coppola, Francis Ford's daughter.
Ruby red color with purple hues. Aromas of dark berries, leather, forest vegetation and some spicy elements. A well-balanced fruity flavor with present tannins. Can be stored for another year to soften a bit. To drink with a daube Provençale or a cheese tray.
