La Jasse Castel "Pimpanela" Red
"Pimpanela", which means "independant woman" in old Occitan, is produced from 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Cinsault and 20% Carignan. The grapes are harvested by hand and may macerate 3 to 5 weeks. The agriculture is organic.

Presentation of the vineyard
Domaine La Jasse Castel is located in Montpeyroux. The owner of the winery is Pascale Rivière who created the vineyard in 1998. Pascale was previously a journalist and became a wine grower, more or less by chance. Today, almost 20 years later, she produces Languedoc winesr from the prestigious areas of Montpeyroux and Terrasses de Larzac. Her wines are regularly mentioned in both the French and international press.
A deep red color with purple hues. Powerful aromas of southern French herbs and spices, fruit and chocolate. The palate is round and soft, with a fruity flavor that dominates the acidity. A wine to drink with lamb and other grilled meats. Alternatively, to exotic food with sweet and sour elements.
