Presentation of the vineyard

Domaine Eric Gelly has made wine since 7 generations back in the Hérault department, not far from the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Montpellier in southern France. The vineyard stretches over 45 hectares of land and not less than 12 different grape varieties grow here. Today is the son of the Gelly family who has taken over from his father since 2006. After finishing his winestudies, he has modernized the production unit and can now proudly reap the fruits of the investments. Domaine Gelly has in recent years received awards for both the whites, the reds and also for the rosé wines. "My credo is to link tradition and modern technology. I work for eco-friendly practices I call moderate agriculture; the vines are fertilized naturally and the herbicides are selected not to be absorbed in the vine.

Sommelier's advice

A bright salmon pink color with silvery hues. The nose  is intense with hints of red berries. The palate is fruity and fresh, mainly reminding of red berries (strawberries). Nice balance between fruit and acidity which makes the wine well balanced. A rosé wine to pair with most dishes, preferably to sushi, pizza, various pasta dishes or just as a "talk wine" with some olives!
