Presentation of the vineyard
Chateau Fonsalade is one of the oldest winery in the Saint-Chinian appellation, located in the northeastern corner in the middle of the Languedoc region. The name comes from Font Salat which means the salty fountain in old Occitan. The fountain exists for real and is used by the vineyard. Chateau Fonsalade was taken over by Julien Peltier in 2008 and together with his team he today cultivates both red-, white- and rosé wine at the vineyard's 27 hectares of land.
An elegant, light salmon pink color with purple hues. The nose is floral, slightly spicy and smoky. The palate is fruity, fresh but with limited acids. A Saint-Chinian with inspiration from Provence! To pair with most summermeals, from aperitif to a grilled fish or grilled meat!
