Philipponnat - Royale Réserve Rosé
Philipponnat Royale Reserve rosé is produced from the traditional 3 Champagne vine varieties; 75% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier. Grapes from Premier- and Grand Cru areas are pressed after harvest. The Royale Réserve Rosé enclose 25-30% of "vin de réserve" which has been stored in oak barrels. This adds complexity to the wine and also gives a "winy" character. The rosé champagne is obtained by adding 7-8% of red wine from Pinot Noir cultivated in Mareuil-sur-Ay and in Riceys. The wine is dosed to 9 g / l for maintaining a good balance between freshness and fruitiness. The finalized wine is stored for three years at 12 ° C before being commercialized.
