Presentation of the vineyard
Louis Roederer is an independant family wine hous that today represents 240 hectares of vineyards and produces only wine from its own vineyard in Marne, consisting of Grands and Premiers Crus from 410 different terroirs. In 1833, Louis Roederer inherits his vineyard and continues, to what was customary for that time, to buy land in order to control the entire lead in the production of champagne. Its unique reputation of Champagne Roederer was created when, in 1876, Roederer Cristal was specially designed for the Russian Tsar. Today it's Frédéric Rouzaud, the 7th descent generation who runs the wine house and who, despite the family structure, ships every year 3 million bottles of wine around the world.
A bright golden color with intense small bubbles. The nose is rich and complex with floral hints of hawthorn, but also of almonds and brioche. The palate has a light creamy texture with a round fruity and "winy" character, but at the same time with good freshness. To serve for an aperitif or with a cold buffet.
