Jaffelin Beaune 1er Cru "Cent Vignes" 2008 - red

"Cent Vignes" is a "1er Cru" produced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes are harvested in late September and are then sorted to remove twigs and eventual unripe grapes. The grapes are crushed and fermented with regular "agitation" (remontage) for 12 to 20 days. The wine is then stored in oak barrels for a year.

Sommelier's advice

Light intense garnet red color. Explosive berry aromas of black cherry, black currant and blackberry. A rich, full-bodied and juicy palate with present tannins. Ready for serving, but can be stored a fex more years. An excellent choice together with a deer steak with chanterelles.
