Presentation of the vineyard

Domaine Germain pere & fils is a family winery located in Saint-Romain. It all began in 1955 with Bernard Germain. At that time most of the vineyards were only in Saint Romain, but Bernard bought land in both Pommard and Beaune and in the Hautes côtes de Beaune area. All in all, 6 hectares of farmland were included. In 1976, Bernard's son Patrick came to his help and since 2009, Arnaud, Bernard's grandson, is also part of the winery. Arnaud has developed the sales and been the driving force behind the Maison Arnaud Germain, which expanded the range to Meursault, Volnay, Chambolle-Musigny and Puligny-Montrachet, which are now part of the portfolio of appellations.

Sommelier's advice

A deep red, dark purple / ruby ??red color with complex aromas of blackberries, blueberries, red currants and cherry kernels, merging with hints of leather, chocolate and pepper. A wine for storage with round texture, delicate and with good concentration. A rather powerful Côte de Beaune to enjoy with game meat or to the Burgundian cheese tray consisting of epoisses, langres and soumaintrain.
