Presentation of the vineyard
Château Taillefer has a long history and is documented on maps from 1776, during Louis XV's era. Since 1923, it's the Moueix family that owns the wine house and it is today Catherine Moueix who, toghether with her children, runs the company. Château Taillefer represents 13.5 hectares of land on the southern part of the Pomerol plateau, not far from Figeac.
A dark bordeaux red color with black hues. The nose is intense and complex in a mixture of black berries, violet, pepper and vanilla. The palate is rich and powerful, generous and well-structured thanks to dense and mature tannins. A certain freshness in the final. To pair with various meat dishes, preferably with game.
