Chateau La Bridane - Saint Julien 2014 - Red
Chateau La Bridane is made of 45% Merlot-, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon-, 10% Petit Verdot- and 5% Cabernet Franc grapes. The grapes are harvested and then sorted three times in three different levels to weed out the grapes which don't hold absolute best quality. The fermentation takes place in cement- and steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The finished wine is aged in oak barrels for 15-16 months. 30% of the barrels are new.

Presentation of the vineyard
Château La Bridane is a rather small family winery with the classification "Récoltant indépendant". The castle, which partially encloses the western end of the Saint-Julien village, has belonged to the families Blancan and Saintout for nearly 300 years. The wine castle is located on the heights of Saint-Julien overlooking the river Gironde. This is one of the better areas of the Medoc district.
A wine with a dark ruby red color and violet hues. A complex and fruity fragrance with hints of blackberries, black currants, cherries and plums. Hints of spices, smoke and blond tobacco. Subtle and elegant impression. To drink in a year with an entrecote à la bordelaise in red wine sauce .
