Presentation of the vineyard

The story of Château Barrail Meyney begins with Patric Esben in 1995. The estate originally consisted of 9 hectares of land in the town of Génissac, but today extends over 30 hectares of land spread over several appellations. Château Barrail Meyney is located in two different municipalities, namely Génissac and Nérigean, between the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers about ten minutes from Libourne and Saint-Emilion. Today, the property is managed by Patrick Esben. Château Barrail Meyney's terroir consists of clay soil, sand and limestone. The grape varieties grown are 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

Sommelier's advice

Château Barrail Meyney is a soft and fruity red wine from Bordeaux. The tannins are relatively fat and full-bodied and the final is toasted and long. To serve to a grilled chicken.
