Presentation of the vineyard

Domaine Meyer-Fonné is located in a village named Katzenthal just outside the city of Colmar. This part of Alsace is fantastically beautiful, and not only that, in Katzenthal everything is more or less about wine! The Meyer family has Swiss origins and grow wine in Katzenthal since 3 generations. Fonné have been added to the name of the vineyard after a daughter married to Fonné. Today it's Felix, the 3rd generation Meyer who has taken over the production since 1992. During recent years he has, in agreement with his father, developed and modernized the winery. The result of the efforts will not be mistaken after the tasting of the wines!

Sommelier's advice

A beautiful yellow color with golden hues. Intense aromas of citrus, blood orange, lemon and grapefruit as well as a certain minerality. The palate is generous with a small dose of well-integrated sugar. A lively acidity without exaggeration. A long finish with a pleasant bitter finale and some mineral saltiness. A beautiful wine to enjoy chilled as an aperitif or with an Alsatian choucroute or as well with a trout with almonds.
